Product Information

A lovely contemporary 16 1/4 inch viola from 1994, from the making hand of Henriette de Vrijer under guidance of David Edwards.

The lower body of the instrument is proportionally large compared to the ‘more popularly sized’ upper and middle sections, this proportion allows the feel of the intonation to be of a full size instrument, with the volume, power and depth of sound to match. More stretch-ability in the player is a bonus to help unlock the full potential of this instrument.
String length 371mm; neck length 148mm; body stop 220mm, total body length (excluding button) 419mm (or 16 1/4 inch)

The body stop is 9mm shorter than a ‘standard’ Viola, the neck length has been proportionally shortened in line with the bridge position.

This instrument would be the perfect partner for a player who wants a deep bass sound. Posture and proportion are incredibly important and Bridge Street Violins is here to help you find the right instrument for you that is comfortable to play.
