Vintage German Violin, numbered 1075 - (ca. 1870)

£2,250.00
SOLD

In great condition is this full size vintage handmade violin from Germany, ca. 1870. This violin is made after a Stradivari pattern model. The violin is numbered in pencil on the inside below the lower eye of the bass-side soundhole as no 1075. This is widely regarded as a Beare’s stock or valuation number.

Front is of medium wide, evenly grained spruce, the neck, ribs and one-piece back are of maple.
With the new set-up the instrument gained its full potential of a clear and balanced sound.

The instrument has been professionally set-up in house at Bridge Street Violins and it received a new set of strings (upgraded to Pirastro Tonica); all of which gives the instrument a well rounded and balanced tone.
